I would like to thank my wonderful friend Mimmo who came up with this great idea for the Big Reunion in 2010.  I am sure that he will work very hard to make this a wonderful and unforgettable event.

 In the last little while everyone is talking about the Big Reunion of 2010 in Brognaturo.  In fact it’s an idea that originated by a beautiful message by a young man from Brognaturo on the “Guestbook”  of the web site Brognaturo on line, www.brognatuoonline.com.  Mimmo Giordano seams to have fired up enthusiasm and excitement in the nostalgic souls and spirits of many of our immigrants.  In fact many of us, also of second and third generation of Brognaturo immigrants, would like to return or go to Brognaturo for the first time.  Many want to get to know or re visit  the locations that we have just heard being talked about or seen in photos,  while others continue to carry unforgettable images and memories in their hearts.

Certainly the town, scenery and landscape have changed greatly since many of us left and immigrated many years ago for reasons of necessities of life and economic gains, never to return again as residents.  Nevertheless it is very difficult to recall and go back many years.  It is more difficult when we see images of friends and loved ones left behind that seem to hold out their  hands saying “come visit, we have been waiting for you for ever”.  So therefore, dear friends who have immigrated all over the world let us give ourselves and our friends this wonderful opportunity.  Let’s roll up our sleeves and let’s begin to prepare this wonderful and exciting opportunity to go back to our loved town where we will see each other again and/or meet for the first time.  We will embrace each other and hold hands  knowing that we have gathered and assembled due to the great love for our place of origin. 

Thank you Brognaturo, we will see each other in August and September of 2010.

Alcuni brognaturesi del Canada per non mancare all`appuntamento impreparati, ingaggiano un regista brognaturese d`OC, Cosmo Coda. Dopo aver consumato una cena abbondante, si va sulla veranda e si continua con le prove. Beh! Sembra che impariamo proprio alla svelta, infatti alla fine della serata si ranccontavano ancora barzellette e si rideva dalla gioia di avere un caro amico in mezzo a noi.

Some brognaturese people who reside in Canada, in order to be prepared for the big get together of the 2010 in Brognaturo, higher a coach right from Brognaturo: Cosmo Coda. After a nice meal inside, we go on the patio deck and we continue with the try-outs. It looks as we are fast learners. In fact at the end of the evening we are still telling jokes and laughing from the happiness of having among us a dear friend : Cosmo Coda. Il giorno di S.Martino
Nel ricordare l`antico detto che a S. Martino ogni mosto diventa vino, ogni anno Cosmo Carello assaggia il vino novello. Di solito sempre in compagnia di amici, quest`anno per  circostanze non del tutto controllabili, da solo. In compenso, per la prima volta mette la maglietta da lui confezionata in  occasione del futuro Grande Raduno del 2010.

In keeping up with the tradition of  the old Italian saying of  'At S. Martin every wine jus turns into wine' Cosmo Carello tries  his new wine. Usually a few friends come over for the occasion. This time due to things beyond our control this was not possible. The wine testing went ahead anyway and to compensate  Cosmo is wearing the new T-shirt designed by him for the occasion of the Grande Raduno (big get together) of 2010 when most of immigrants will go back to the village to visit, meet old friends, make new friends and celebrate with them this special tie that links us together.
